Irene is a brilliant hairstylist, confident in their professional identity and experience in the beauty industry, specializing in styles ranging from subtle to striking.
As a young teen, Irene’s experimentation with creative colour evolved into an obsession that has since become the cornerstone of their professional career. After studying psychology at UVic, they redirected their focus to pursue hair design.
Known for their warm hospitality, Irene is committed to cultivating individuality & personal empowerment, ensuring each client feels supported, represented & validated every step of the way.
Irene’s artistry includes alternative hair, custom vivids, blondes, foilayage, highlights, babylights, Filipino/Asian hair, butterfly cuts, shags, 90s blowouts & gender-affirming services. They draw inspiration from emo, scene, Y2K, various Japanese subcultures & 90s supermodel aesthetics.
Outside of work, Irene is a dedicated musician & songwriter, serving as the vocalist for Sweet Delirium & playing bass in Ceramic Skyline. You can often find Irene performing in town! Outside of their musical endeavors, Irene is passionate about queer pop culture, piercings & sustainable fashion. They curate preloved clothing, create upcycled pieces & draw inspiration from various art forms to infuse into their hairstyling.
