Colts Indigenous, Trans and 2 spirit identity led to a fascination of the connection and intimacy of hair to land, people, and cultures. They believe in honoring the self through creative expression. Feeling welcome, valued, and heard is the most important experience they hope to provide. They want you to leave their chair feeling like your most authentic self, affirmed as who you are. Whether that’s gender bent, gender binary, gender elusive, or gender fluid.
Colt is new from Vancouver. You’ll find them eating snacks on a paddleboard in the summer, hiding in a corner in a coffee shop writing poetry in the winter, creating stick and poke tattoos and wasting away scrolling tiktok. They are inspired by multidisciplinary art, connections of culture, intergenerational fashion, futurism/tradition dichotomy, social justice, family, AI, Sound, intergenerational connections and that feeling and smell of the sun on a hot summer day. They look forward to connecting and sharing some laughs.
Colt is currently offering all hair cutting, barbering and straight-shave services. They are under on-going training as a stylist to eventually bring you whatever form of expression you’d like.
