AJ, our newest and most wonderful junior barber has quickly carved a space for himself here at the Old Hat! Originally from Toronto, he moved to the island to get away from big city life and pursue his passion in Barbering! In AJ’s spare time, you will find him exploring in nature with his dog or enjoying a nice coffee at a local café!
After a decade working in healthcare AJ has reallocated his kind and passionate ways into his craft as a barber. Drawing from his deep commitment to helping people and applying his acquired knowledge to his clients daily.
AJ is a traditional apprentice, which means that all his training is provided by the senior team at the Old Hat. This immersive and cohesive approach to learning will provide AJ with a broad spectrum understanding of his trade, with a more expansive foundation to launch his career.
AJ takes pride in providing an inclusive and gender-affirming hair experience, providing space for folks to explore their most authentic self.
